Painted on location during my repetitive shape stretched boxes era.

"This was painted in a very controlling time of my life. No variety of paint, no big areas of paint. I was scared to death to go out of shapes. Each little box was a meditation. I felt safe doing these paintings but there was a little hint of freedom with boats and round sun of hope.”

This painting is a good example of two dimensional box formula. "I WON Best in Show at the Winter Park Art Festival in Florida."

1972 – GHOST VILLAGE - Watercolor on Board - 30X40
"Using wash technique where I would wet entire board and paint color through it. Getting more free in technique. This is the first paper where I introduce ghost like human forms with unhappy faces in there lonely world. This was my consciousness at the time. Interesting where sun is."
